Kitchen Remodel 2.0

By Briana - Bri's Posts, Projects - July 5th, 2012 Add comments

Last February, I convinced Andy to paint the kitchen red. To be honest, it never really grew on me. And to be more honest, I am kind of obsessed with the color blue. my car is blue, my house is blue, my business logo is blue and just about every room in our house is some shad of blue. It’s a good thing I am surrounded by boys! So since the first remodel, I couldn’t help thinking my kitchen could be a better color than red….

Much to Andy’s chagrin, I got the itch to paint something again. I had just refinished the bathroom cabinets white and really loved the result. So much that I couldn’t get past the terrible builder’s grade oak cabinets in the kitchen. I thought and schemed and eventually talked my way out of doing it several times until I resolved myself that I had to accomplish this before the fiery summer was upon us. I will spare you the gory details, but after about a week, my cabinets were beautiful and white, my walls were a light peacock blue, and my nesting beast was appeased once more. Here are some before and afters!

Before: orange oak and red red red!
