Thanks to February, this last month has come and gone way too fast. Caleb looks so much older now than a month ago. I think it’s due to his expanding array of facial expressions. He weighs a little over 13 pounds and is all smiles and giggles. When we were in the hospital, the staff had to put on these yellow face masks. Caleb thought they were the funniest thing. He would crack the biggest smile when anyone with a yellow mask examined him. He will smile at just about anyone; In fact, I’ve even caught him smiling at people on TV. He loves interacting with his world so much that we are constantly battling to get him to sleep. If he had the choice, he would stay up 24/7. At least he’s in a good mood most of the time.
We have a couple of ways to get him down pretty consistently. He loves watching his daddy play guitar. I usually rock him while Andy plays all kinds of made-up lullabies. As soon as he starts playing, Caleb instantly relaxes and just stares at his Daddy. It’s just about the cutest thing ever. If that fails, then I will put him in his carrier and vacuum. There’s something about the combination of the sound of the vacuum and my rocking back and forth that lulls him to sleep almost instantly. It’s kind of nice to get some cleaning done at the same time.

WOW. Please please please teach me how to take these pictures. What kind of a lens are you using and what kind of lighting and how are you drugging him?!? I can only hope that we get pictures from time to time as it seems ALL your pictures are. At least we have twice the chance!

She’s nuts I tell you. I fiddle with the thing and end up with over-exposed red eye. She does it and it looks like a studio shot.
We just have the regular lens and a zoom lens, and I’m sure she just uses the standard for them all. We want to pick up a nice macro-lens for close ups, but this seems to be doing well.
